“OBYU started in 1977 as a small trading company in Kuching, Sarawak by Tan Sri Bustari Yusuf. It was tough in the early years. Much hard work, resilience, and seizing the right opportunities enabled OBYU to survive and grow.

Surrounded by good people and by investing in building relationships, OBYU developed great partnerships that valued keeping all promises made. We wanted our reputation to speak for us.

These same values still hold true for OBYU, over 40 years later. Today, OBYU has grown into a diverse group of companies involved in the construction, property, power and services. We moved our head office from Kuching to Kuala Lumpur in 2013, signalling the growth of OBYU’s footprint beyond Sarawak.”
